Tile Restore

High pressure cleaning that lifts the grime without chewing up the surface

Moss, algae, oil and years of dirt come off outdoor tiles and paving when the pressure and technique suit the surface.

Outdoor surfaces collect more than dirt. Algae, moss and slippery films build up in shade and damp, and they make paths, patios and pool surrounds look worse and feel less safe.

High pressure cleaning is quick and effective, but the wrong settings strip grout, etch the glaze and leave streaks. We assess the surface first and match the pressure and technique to it.

What this covers

  • Patios, balconies and outdoor tiling

Tiles and joints cleaned back, with the pressure set to suit the glaze and grout.

  • Pool surrounds

Dirt and algae removed from tiles, coping and paving around the pool.

  • Driveways, paths and pavers

Concrete and paving cleaned evenly, with the edges and joints taken care of.

  • Garage floors and entries

Dirt, tyre marks and light staining lifted from hard-wearing surfaces.

How the job runs

  1. 1

    Assess the surface

We check what the surface is, how well bonded the grout is and what is causing the staining.

  2. 2

    Test and set the pressure

We test a small area so the pressure and nozzle are right before the main clean.

  3. 3

    Treat and clean

Stubborn staining is pre-treated, then the surface is cleaned in even passes.

  4. 4

    Rinse and check

Run-off is managed and the surface rinsed, then checked for missed spots and loose grout.

Why do it this way

  • An outdoor space that looks cared for again
  • Less slip risk where algae and moss have built up
  • A surface prepared for repairs or sealing
  • Pressure matched to the surface rather than set to maximum

High pressure cleaning: common questions

  • Will it damage my tiles or grout?

It can if the pressure is too high or the grout is already weak. We test first and adjust, and we tell you before starting if we think the grout will not survive a clean.

  • Will the algae come back?

In shady, damp spots it often does over time. Regular cleaning keeps it in check, and we can suggest ways to slow it.

  • Can you clean indoor tiles this way?

No. High pressure cleaning is for outdoor and hard-wearing surfaces. Indoors, we would regrout or reseal rather than blast the surface.

  • Do I need to be home?

Not always, but we need access to an outdoor tap and power where required. We confirm this when we quote.
