High-pressure cleaning a tiled courtyard in Carlton
A shaded courtyard with green algae and ground-in grime was cleaned back, with a few open joints refilled.

The problem
The courtyard sits in shade most of the day and had become slippery with algae and leaf stains. Dirt had also worked into the joints, making the whole area look tired.
What we did
- Swept the area and protected nearby doors, plants and drainage points.
- Pre-treated the algae and stained areas with a suitable cleaning solution.
- Pressure cleaned in even passes at a setting suited to the tile and grout.
- Rinsed the area and checked the joints for loose or missing material.
- Refilled the few open joints and left the surface to dry.
The result
The courtyard is clean, noticeably less slippery underfoot, and the tile colour is back to what it should be.
